Sky Fort- Day 2

Day 2- Making progress

We got the boys a playset a few weeks ago. Since then it has rained just about everyday. For 3 solid weeks. So, all four boxes full of the Sky Fort have sat in our garage. Today is the first day it has been nice weather that JW could get started. My once lofty goals for this thing being put together have slowly diminished. I have never seen so many parts in all my life!! I am glad JW has an engineering degree. Now I am just hoping it is put together in time for Will's birthday party in July. I'll keep you posted.

This is what our "Sky Fort" playset currently looks like

This is what it is eventually supposed to look like

At least the boys are enjoying playing with the boxes!

Wow, that is alot of pieces! Your right, good thing JW has an engineering degree. Maybe you can have a sky fort building party and everyone pitch in a help. Sure wish y'all were still here, Caleb had his bday party today and we would have loved for Will to be there :)

Wow, Ginger! That looks like great fun! It is unbelievable how much is involved in assembling one of those things. Fortunately, Michael did the majority of ours over Labor Day weekend, and I didn't have to do much but keep the kids out of the way when necessary! Good luck...we could all use a good dose of dry weather!

That will be so fun!

We used to have a similar big wooden swingset. My poor husband had to put it together while I offered helpful advice. :) Believe it or not, when we bought our current house we had it in big pieces waiting to be moved into the new yard and someone STOLE it! Can you imagine? It was the middle of the day in broad daylight too. They must have had a truck and just loaded it up. We miss it.
